Annual Preservation Awards
Outstanding contributions to historic preservation in Schenectady County are recognized with our annual Preservation Awards, celebrating National Historic Preservation month in May.
Here are a few of our past awardees:
Abraham Yates House, Union Street
MopCo Improv Theater, Jay Street
Christ Church, Duanesburg
In October, the Foundation partners with the Schenectady County Historical Society to offer guided walking tours in the Stockade Historic District. Tales of ghosts and macabre happenings woven together with local history make these tours sell out quickly! All proceeds support the preservation of Schenectady’s history and the Foundation’s preservation grants.
