In 2002, we expanded our scope to include all of Schenectady County, collaborating with other historic districts and advocates to further our mission.

The Foundation consists of a board of directors whose members are dedicated to the principles of historic preservation, have expertise in the field, and are committed to advancing these principles.

We aid historic building and neighborhood conservation and rehabilitation through education, advocacy, and financial assistance. We cooperate with local, State and Federal governments, organizations, agencies, and private property owners, leveraging modest financial aid to accomplish our mission.

The Foundation is guided by the Secretary of the Interior’s standards for the treatment of historic properties. The National Park Service administers the U.S. Department of the Interior.
